Miguel Hernández University

Miguel Hernández University was created in 1997 . UMH is thus a young University; nevertheless, according to various quality indicators it is found among the top Spanish universities in the parameters of innovation and technological development and in teaching. Comitted to inclusion, since 2016 UMH provides a training program for persons with intellectual disabilities, with two different professional specializations, training them as shop assistants and administrative assistants.

IPSE Programme | Students contingent: 17 | Required minimum age: 18 years

Programs for persons for intellectual disabilities provided by Miguel Hernández University offer an specialized training in two professional fields: administration and shop assistance. They are oriented to prepare persons with intellectual disabilities to be able to get and maintain an employment in the ordinary labor market, and, for this purpose, theoretical formation (with a total of 700 hours) is completed by work placement in companies (200 hours).
